This means we cannot define the words in the bible based on our natural wisdom. We must look to the scripture to see how God defines certain words. For example, careful bible study will reveal to us that fire in the bible represents the holy spirit. Therefore, when we see the word fire in the bible, we know it is defined as the holy spirit on many occasions. We cannot define fire as what we know naturally. The same applies to many words in the bible. With careful bible study, we also realize stealing also means climbing up any other way than through faith in Jesus. This is found in John 10:1.
